Our client is a growing Kenyan owned medium sized company based in Nairobi's industrial area now looking to hire an Operations and Human Resource Officer at Salary range of 60-70K. Human Resource and Administration Function Management of employee files, employee annual leave days and/or sick off, salary advance requests and employee medical scheme (related issues) Direct supervision of drivers, security guard and tea girl/cleaner and appraisal/evaluation of the same Maintenance of office records (Efficient filing /archiving system and ensuring that all company licenses, insurances and certificates are updated and properly filed) Provision of administrative assistance to the CEO where necessary Provision of reports to upper management Operations Function Planning for timely delivery, set up and collection of units for all events and contracts Planning for outside jobs Organize per diems/ lunch for out of town deliveries Organize transport for other members of staff to attend meetings/site visits Liaise with the outsourced company to ensure units are cleaned as per set standards Liaise with outsourced customer care company to ensure that attendants perform their duties as per set standards Oversee maintenance of company vehicles and supervise regular fueling of the vehicles Oversee maintenance of units Procurement of company supplies (Ensure that supplies are procured at the most competitive price and in a timely manner) Handle freight/shipping logistics Management of stock (Ensure that all supplies are accounted for, well preserved and reordered when necessary) Handle travel arrangements/visa requirements Management of operational costs Provide timely and informative reports on operations to upper management Our client would prefer a youthful and energetic person for the position. The East African Community (EAC) through the Lake Victoria Basin Commission (LVBC) Secretariat is coordinating the implementation of the 2nd Phase of the Lake Victoria Environmental Management Project (LVEMP II) which will be implemented in all the five EAC Partner States (Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda). The project will contribute towards the attainment of the Shared Vision for the Management and Development of the Lake Victoria Basin through strengthening of the regional and national institutions for governance of transboundary resources in the basin; and facilitating public and private environmentally friendly investments in the Lake Victoria Basin
