Due to our rapid expansion, we are seeking a results oriented, highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill the following vacant position: Business Development Manager - Knowledge Transfer Centre KTC/KE/BDM/2012 Reporting to the Sales Director, the incumbent will create and ensure successful closure of training opportunities for the Knowledge Transfer Centre-(KTC). Key responsibilities Prepare sales strategies and business plans for the training market; Implement sales strategies to achieve KTC goals, objectives and targets; Develop and maintain a solid funnel of training opportunities; Provide timely, accurate and competitive pricing on training packages to ensure profitability; Prepare, review and present proposals for training contracts; Liaise with the Marketing department to ensure regular distribution of client publications and updates of course materials; and Coordinate training requirements, negotiate contracts and integrate the requirements with KTC operations.

The University of Nairobi (UoN) has opened a big lead ahead of its peers in Kenya in terms of volume and quality of research, according to a new ranking of 12,000 universities worldwide. The latest study by Spanish research firm Webometrics shows that UoN retained its top position in Kenya, moving up to 14 from 27 in Africa and more than 1,700 places worldwide to stand at 1,251 compared to last January's ranking
