Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for the cost-effective operation of the IT delivery function. You will organize, plan, and execute strategic IT solutions in alignment with work processes.

Supervise network technical support team to ensure the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness and organize software training programs.

Develop and monitor appropriate security procedures to safeguard system from physical harm and viruses, unauthorized users and damage to data.

Develop and manage an efficient I.T department, consistent and appropriate with the vision and strategic objectives of the company.

Implement IT strategic plan in support of the company's corporate & business plans.

Analyze data flow and technical requirements to define a network strategy and the equipment required to meet projected data traffic.

Formulate and implement company's ICT policies including disaster recovery.

Negotiate SLA's with vendors and monitor IT systems performance to assurance service standards are consistently met.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.

6 years of proven Information Technology management experience, 2 of which should be in a supervisory role.

Strong Information Technology background including tertiary qualifications in Management Information Systems &Professional qualifications in IT & Business Management related matters.

Senior Accountant Job Madison Insurance Kenya.

Reporting to the Financial Controller the Senior Accountant will be in charge of management of the Treasury and Investments function in order to meet the specified strategic investment objectives.

Develop, implement and review from time to time, appropriate treasury management tools in line with the corporate strategies.

Liaison with production departments on expected inflows and outflows and planning for the same

Ensure adequate levels of cash generated from operations are invested on a monthly basis.

Ensure optimal Cash/Bank balances are held and surpluses invested accordingly

Providing periodic cash flow reports and projections.

Identify secure and high yielding investment avenues and make appropriate proposals to management

Liaise with Fund Managers on all matters relating to investments managed on behalf of Madison Insurance and Pension Schemes

Evaluate performance of the fund managers against industry and other market indicators

Ensure appropriate mix of investments at all times, taking consideration to risk, return and statutory compliance

Ensure maximisation and timely collection of rent from all rental premises

Ensure all status of properties is up to date with regard to maintenance, payment of services, land rent and rates

Preparation and presentation of periodic and adhoc investment reports

Ensure proper accounting of investment and investment income

Manage all transactions between relating to subsidiaries and related companies
The ideal candidate should have a degree in Economics, Finance or Commerce in addition to professional qualifications (CPA (K), CSIA, and CFA).

An MBA in finance would be an added advantage.

The candidate should have between 3 and 5 years experience in a similar position in an Insurance company or Fund management environment.

He/She should be a self-driven team player with excellent inter-personal skills.

Implement welfare and related employees matters including leave, staff medical, NHIF, NSSF, Uniforms, Workmen's compensation etc.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records to support payment of overtime and wages with the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) in force as well as processing the monthly overtime for the unionized staff

Project Development Officer:?requires at least 5 years relevant experience in Kenya managing donor-funded youth/community development programs in Kenya and/or Somalia.
Grants Manager:?requires at least 3 years relevant experience managing USAID or other donor-funded grants programs in Kenya and/or Somalia

General Purpose

Responsibilities/ Deliverables?

  • Execution of the B2B strategy in Kenya

  • Responsible account management with identified Corporates.
  • Own and manage relationship with key contacts in corporates.
  • Execute all objectives of B2B as determined by the organisation on a quarterly basis

  • Provide one on one setup and support for key individuals and customers.
  • Know and understand the organisations value proposition, including services and hardware.

  • The B2B sales person needs to be able to sell concepts to sales people, as well as be personable, convincing, and able to achieve trusted advisor status in the operator account.
  • Accountability, the ability to work in isolation, and a strong conviction to pursue issues to resolution, as well as being able to work with imperfect and incomplete information are prerequisites.
