Our client a medium sized firm in Nairobi is looking for Human Resource Assistant.

The Human Resources assistant will assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties.

He/She will HR assistant carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: departmental development, HRIS, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organization development, executive administration, and employment.

The HR assistant will have partial responsibility for these areas:
  • Recruiting and staffing logistics.
  • Performance management and improvement tracking systems.
  • Employee orientation, development, and training logistics and recordkeeping.
  • Assisting with employee relations.
  • Company-wide committee facilitation and participation.
  • Company employee communication.
  • Compensation and benefits administration and recordkeeping.
  • Employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health reporting.
  • Updating and maintaining employee files and the HR filing system.
  • Assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in HRM, or Social Sciences degree with a diploma in HRM.
  • The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 years experience in a busy HR Office.
  • Proficiency in all MS Office packages.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence others to accomplish collective goals and relate to the internal customers.
  • Ability to work and deliver to deadlines

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare product design as per given line diagram or BOQ
  • Create symbolic dictionary for the drawings
  • Make a list of label required for the particular job & follow up that the same has been named on the panel.
  • Prepare standard drawing templates.
  • Prepare as built drawings, manuals and catalogues before dispatching goods.
  • Ensure drawings have structural drg, Electrical singleline/multiline diagram, electrical control drg, BOQ , material list and manuals.
  • Create necessary tools and template required for speedy completion of work and implementation of work.
  • Implementing innovative ideas in manufacturing unit.
Required Qualification
  • Diploma in electrical engineering
  • 3 – 4 years experience
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD electrical
  • Knowledge of IEC symbols
  • Knowledge of electrical control and power control panel.
  • MUST have worked in a switchboard and control panel manufacturing unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • To prepare long-term plans, budgets and cash flow forecasting within set deadlines.
  • Preparation of monthly management reports by the 10th day of each month.
  • Preparation of quarterly GOK report by 10th day of each month following the end of the quarter.
  • Monthly analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.

  • Must be conversant with the International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS's).
  • Should have thorough knowledge of audit techniques and management skills.
  • Must have good decision making, report writing and excellent communication skills.
