Graphic Designer & Web Developer.

We are a Kenyan technology firm engaged in providing front line IT solutions to firms abroad. We have a range of graphic, web design projects and software systems under development and we are looking for qualified, experienced, motivated and naturally talented developers and graphic designers.

We are looking for candidates willing to work on part time for 2- 4 hour shifts pattern beginning five days a
week. We are specifically looking for students or candidates with no other job.

- Creating and maintaining the related commercial websites and the intranet site. Will be responsible for writing and coding of individual programs for specific requirements.

- Interpreting written business requirements and technical specification documents for coding / scripting in written technical specifications.

- Designing web pages, including graphics, animation functionality, page infrastructure and application related to pages with more advanced graphics and features.

- Diploma/ Degree in web development/design or a related field.

- MUST have developed a website in some of the following operating platforms:-. PHP, HTML, REST/XML/SOAP Web Services, Macromedia, Flash and MySQL.

- Knowledge of following frameworks and libraries will be add advantage:- joomla, code igniter, jquery, mootools and zend.

- A thorough knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques.

- Demonstrates the ability to cooperate with a variety of people and achieve results.

- Should be self-motivated, detail oriented and organized.

- Ability to communicate efficiently.

- Strong knowledge of Adobe Suite Photoshop, Illustrator, After effects, Flash and any other design software

- Training in graphic design, creativity, communication, and problem-solving skills

- Ability to creatively carry marketing messages to his/her design work

- Must be able to effectively communicate with internal marketing team

- Must be able to communicate their ideas visually, verbally, and in writing

- Attention to detail, consistency and accuracy

• Aged between 24-40

• Must be proficient in English and Swahili.

FMCG Sales And Marketing Kenyan Jobs. Our client is a lead manufacturer and marketer in the highly competitive nutritional foods segment of the FMCG sector. The company products are manufactured to international standards and are distributed throughout the East Africa region and beyond. Since inception over ten years ago, the company has gained significant market share within the Kenyan market and made notable inroads in the regional markets.

Recognizing the opportunities that the East African Community presents, the organisation has embarked on an
expansion programme and streamlined its operations to achieve operational excellence and ultimately its capacity, and has also reviewed its sales and marketing strategy.

To drive this new strategy, we are looking for an experienced, self-driven individual for the role of Sales & Marketing Manager. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be a member of the senior management team and will be expected to design, implement and coordinate all aspects of the Sales & Marketing activities for the East African region with the primary aim of revenue maximization. Your core responsibilities will include:

* The continuous review of the sales and marketing strategy to ensure it remains relevant;

* New product development and product rationalisation base on market trends and customer needs. This may entail formal and or informal research;

* Advertising and promotions, most of which will be below the line. You will be expected to manage the third party service providers such as agencies, etc

* Distributor management including appointment, management and development. Territory and route mapping will be critical;

* Managing the marketing and sales costs; this will entail budgeting and budgetary control

* Managing the sales and marketing team i.e. setting performance standards and motivating the team to achieve high productivity; training and development; reward and recognition schemes and maintaining discipline.

* Monitoring competitor activity and taking action as appropriate

You will be a strategic thinker with proven sales and marketing experience, leadership ability, and track record of achieving targets. You will also have:

* A business degree preferably a professional marketing qualification such as CIM; a masters degree will be an advantage

* 5 years experience in a marketing and or sales management role within a manufacturing environment preferably in FMCG; experience is the food manufacturing sector is a definite advantage

* Proven experience of long term planning and results delivery as well as staff management, training and performance management

* Distributor management experience is essential

* Experience in the East African region is preferred

* Proven experience of third party service providers identification and management

* Financial awareness including knowledge of margins and profitability;

* Co-develop industrial relations strategies, policies and processes and monitor the implementation.
